Our goal is to provide a vibrant community center to secure our club’s future and provide a dedicated home for our players, members and local residents.

As we have continued exploring options for our club's future home, an unexpected and exciting opportunity has emerged.

The owner of a property approached the team leading this initiative and invited us to consider her home as a potential location for our new club.

After visiting the property and carefully evaluating its potential, it quickly became clear that it is exceptionally well-suited to our vision—offering possibilities that exceed anything we had previously considered.

Since this opportunity first came to our attention, we have been working diligently to explore its potential and determine the best path forward.

Out of respect for the property owner, who values her privacy, we are unable to share further details at this time. We have committed to maintaining confidentiality until we receive her permission to make a public announcement.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to pursue what we believe could be a truly unique and outstanding opportunity for our club. Please know that we are doing everything we can to move this exciting possibility forward, and we look forward to sharing more information as soon as we are able.

how we operate

Our Purpose

To Promote & Support the Programs, Activities and Traditions of the Castaway Wanderers RFC, including the acquisition and management of a clubhouse facility.

Independant Society

A separate, arms length society, governed by a dedicated board of directors ensuring all funds are strictly allocated to the acquisition and management of the new Facility.

community partnership

Building on long history of rugby in the community, the society will respect and maintain excellent relationships with the neighbors of Windsor Park and the Municipality of Oak Bay.

Investing in
Your Future

The first step in this initiative is the purchase of a property adjacent to the playing fields of CWRFC [Windsor Park], where in the past season, 475 players, boys & girls from 4 years to 40+ were registered with the CWRFC. The District of Oak Bay’s Windsor Pavilion will continue as the CW Rugby locker rooms and meeting space as required. Once sufficient funds have been raised to enable purchase of the property, we will continue discussions to acquire the property.
